Scotland: Part II......GLASGOW

Wake up. Haggis for breakfast. Nip to bookies. Exit Bathgate. Enter Glasgow. Well that would've been the case but we got mixed up with Rangers traffic, but we got there in the end. So sat in the pub having our first Glaswegian drink when all of a sudden some randomers start whining on the Fiddle and some other Irish instrument. It was enjoyable for the first 2 times but then it was like a scratched record. That was us done and to sound check. We were greeted by Davey and Kirtsy. Locals who we'd met at Leeds festival, and he proceeded to show us round a few bars. After a few hours of mincing about Sauchiehill watering holes we headed back to The Box. The setup was good. Nice little stage in the shop window, bar to the left, heads in front and Lesbians to the right. Get in! Few more ales and we're off. And this time there was no falling over light stands, or stage invaders, just a quality set of tunes. Even though we got cut short by 1 tune, we saved the best 'til last. We can safely say a good time was had by all. So a few more wet ones, and courtesy of The Complete Stone Roses manager Pete. Copious amounts of free Jagerbombs. Feeding time. Shouldn't of done that. If only the take-away was as good as the night had been. Fuck off with your Ginger-chips! A bit of socialising with the queue for the taxi rank and that was us, done for. Jump into Camper van. Head down. Middle of one of the busiest streets in Glasgow. We slept.

Back To England.

Well we did what it says on the tin. We went home, knowing that we were back again in November (with Dead Sea Souls) to do it all again. Cannot wait! Scotland was good to us, so we were good back. Welcome the post-weekend blues.

In a bit.
